Chariton moved from Greece for the Information Technology program at Melbourne Polytechnic’s Preston campus, and has immersed himself in his studies and Melbourne’s diverse culture.
What things do you like most about Melbourne Polytechnic?
Friendly environment, good teachers and very helpful classes
What is your favourite class and why?
Networking, because the class is about ‘getting stuff real’. Sorry for using slang, that’s how I can express myself about the class. You’re getting very deep into networking, exploring many things.
What tips do you have for new students about choosing where to study, what to consider when choosing which provider to study at, or considering coming to Melbourne Polytechnic?
Before coming to Australia I had to do my research, looking for IT specifically. I ended up coming to became Melbourne Polytechnic because it was covering exactly what I wanted to learn. The cost is the same with other institutes but then you have to choose the environment, which in this occasion the campus in Preston is very huge, offering a big library, cafeteria, gym, restaurant and many more things. The teachers are great, too. I fully recommend Melbourne Polytechnic to future students.
What are your future plans or goals?
I am planning to continue until Masters so I will keep studying.
Why did you choose Melbourne Polytechnic?
Online Reviews, very good scores as an institute, and close to everything.
Anything else you would like to mention about your experience at Melbourne Polytechnic or Australia that potential students may be interested in?
My overall experience so far was amazing as I found myself getting really interested in Networking which I used to hate, the teachers are very nice with you and you can always talk to them even about your personal life. The benefits are many and there is nothing that should stop someone from choosing MelbPoly.
