Preston Fitness Centre

We all need to keep fit to keep our bodies healthy, but regular exercise also benefits your memory and cognitive skills - making it a great study tool. As a student at Melbourne Polytechnic you’ll have access to excellent exercise facilities at the Preston Fitness Centre. Open to all students, staff and community members, it features a fully-equipped gym and a group fitness room.

Quality gym equipment and supportive staff

Enjoy exercising in a welcoming, friendly and relaxed environment with cardio equipment, various pin-loaded and plate-loaded machines, free weights and a wide range of resistance training equipment to meet your strength and conditioning needs.

There’s also plenty of space for stretching and core work while four plasma TV's around the gym keep you entertained while working out. Our friendly gym staff are on-site and happy to answer any questions, demonstrate correct technique and offer fitness advice.

Become a member

You can become a member of our Preston Fitness Centre, or just drop in casually. As a member, you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including access to group fitness classes, a fitness assessment, a personalised program, program induction and a free towel. Fitness centre members also save money on their health and fitness goals, with significant discounts on fitness centre fees compared to casual attendance.

Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 9pm

Friday 6:30am - 8pm

Saturday 8am - 5pm

Casual Access (Staffed Hours): Monday - Friday 7am - 11am & 4pm - 8pm
