Short Courses

Melbourne Polytechnic offers two types of short courses, those that develop an interest in a particular area, and those that prepare you for industry training and assessments.

The first category of short courses are great ways to test out a new field or learn a specific skill. You can choose short courses across a wide range of subjects: from business to hospitality, architecture to welding, and so much more.

The second type of short courses support you to take industry assessments. We offer a broad range, from licensed electrical assessments to the responsible service of alcohol, so you’ll be sure to find one that fits.

Our short courses are introductory in nature and are not accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). They are taught by our friendly and knowledgeable teachers, many of whom also teach our accredited courses.
