Craft special moments with a career in floristry

Combine an eye for design with fine dexterity skills into a bunch of career opportunities in the floristry industry. Melbourne Polytechnic’s courses will provide you with technical skills, floral knowledge, and principles of design.

Melbourne Polytechnic’s Floristry courses focus on nurturing your practical skills. Our students participate in projects and competitions that are recognised by our industry partners, Flowers Victoria and the Nursery and Garden Industry of Victoria, such as the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show.

Our Certificate III course complements floristry techniques with business expertise, offering the skills to run your own business. We have extensive facilities, including two dedicated floristry practical labs, a cool room facility and a large collection of fresh, quality floral material for identification and practical design work.

Career opportunities include working as a retail or corporate florist, floral designer, or a floral event manager.
