A master degree is a postgraduate qualification awarded after specialised study following a bachelor degree.
A master degree will take around 18 months – two years to complete. As a master degree graduate you will have specialised knowledge and skills for research, professional practice and further learning.
A bachelor degree is an undergraduate qualification awarded upon successful completion of an undergraduate course.
As a bachelor degree graduate, you will have the broad and coherent knowledge and skills required for professional work and further learning. A bachelor degree will take a minimum of three years full-time study to complete.
An associate degree is a two-year undergraduate program that provides a pathway to both employment and further study.
It is designed for individuals seeking to develop specialised knowledge and skills, enhance their professional capabilities, or progress to further higher education, including a bachelor degree.
Associate degrees may be offered as standalone qualifications that students can enrol in directly, or as an exit qualification within a related bachelor degree. Where an associate degree is embedded within a bachelor degree, students who choose to discontinue their bachelor studies may be eligible to receive the associate degree, provided they have successfully completed the approved requirements of the award.
To be eligible for the associate degree as an exit qualification, students must meet all course completion requirements for the associate degree, hold a current enrolment in the parent bachelor degree at the time of application, and formally apply to exit the course and receive the award.
