The team at Melbourne Polytechnic Preston Conference Centre are here to make your next event a success. Our modern conference facility, in the heart of Preston, accommodates up to 200 people. And with our exceptional in-house catering, technology support and a dedicated event-coordinator, you can leave event-planning concerns at the door.
The conference centre can accommodate conferences, meetings or events for up to 200 people. The centre has seven meeting and syndicate rooms of varying seating capacity to suit your needs.
We offer a reception area with a large LCD screen, spacious foyers on both floors (these work well as registration and waiting areas) and on-site parking.

Our Conference Centre is in Melbourne Polytechnic’s Preston Campus, just 9KM north of the Melbourne CBD, and a 20-minute drive from Melbourne International Airport. We’re on the Preston Campus, but away from the main student thoroughfare, with access via Cramer Street.
Parking is available onsite, and the centre is easily accessible by public transport, with Preston train station a short 7-10 minute walk away.

Whether you require delicious finger food for a cocktail party, a buffet lunch or elegant plated sit-down meals our talented chefs can cater for any occasion.
The centre has a large commercial kitchen, bar and servery. Nothing is too much trouble for our chefs and hospitality team. We serve fresh, nutritiously balanced food including halal meats. We are pleased to cater to special dietary requirements, so please let us know in advance if your guests have allergies we need to be aware of.
When you host an event with us, you will have the support of a dedicated conference coordinator.
Our on-site professional staff have years of experience looking after the finer details in event logistics and are here to support you right through until event day. We are pleased to work with outside suppliers (with the exception of food and beverage, which must be supplied by Melbourne Polytechnic’s in-house team). We look forward to making the vision for your next event a reality.
The Melbourne Polytechnic Conference Centre is an accessible building for all individuals, including for people with a disability. The building is fitted with a lift and accessible toilets which include a purpose-built hoist.
WiFi is available throughout the Conference Centre. On the Ground Floor we have a dedicated business centre with desktop computers, telephone, internet and printing facilities. Patching is available on request.
