Paid student parking applies at Epping, Preston, Heidelberg, Greensborough and Fairfield campuses.
Parking rates apply between 7.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday
There is limited on street parking at Collingwood and Prahran campus.
Students can pay for parking via their phone by downloading the CellOPark app or purchasing an E ticket from the machine in the carpark

Parking Regulations

Melbourne Polytechnic car parks are regulated by the Road Safety Act 1986 and its associated Regulations and issued under the Infringements Act (Vic) 2006.

The following conditions apply when you enter, leave or use a Melbourne Polytechnic car park. If you do not accept these conditions please leave the car park immediately.

  1. Parking at Melbourne Polytechnic is undertaken strictly at the owner's risk and for Melbourne Polytechnic business only.
  2. A valid Melbourne Polytechnic parking permit must be displayed at all times
  3. A parking fee applies to staff, contractors (including contractor staff), lease holder (including lease holder staff), vehicles parked at Melbourne Polytechnic campuses at all times.
  4. Parking fees do not apply to Melbourne Polytechnic students, visitors and Yarra House residents.
  5. Melbourne Polytechnic is not liable to you or any other person with you for
    1. Injury to you or anybody else
    2. Damage to, destruction of, theft of or unauthorised delivery up of your vehicle or any other vehicle whether authorized or not;
    3. Damage to, destruction of, theft of or delivery up of any property (including in or on your vehicle or any other vehicle); however caused, and you release and indemnify us from any claim which might otherwise have against us.
  6. You agree to indemnify us in respect to damage to, destruction of, theft of or any other claim made against us and any expenses incurred by us as a consequence of, in relation to, or in any way arising out of your use of this Car Park.
  7. Melbourne Polytechnic will not be liable to you for delivery of your vehicle to any person who did not have authority to take your vehicle.
  8. All vehicles must be parked in marked bays. Contravention will attract a parking infringement (PIN). All Melbourne Polytechnic campuses have been gazetted and sign posted as per the requirements of the Road Safety Act 1986 parking regulations and its amendments.
  9. Parking availability is subject to capacity and is not guaranteed at all times
  10. Drivers must observe any signs at the entrance to or within Melbourne Polytechnic car parks and must comply with directions given by any Parking or Security Officer.
  11. The right to park is not a condition of enrolment or employment and Melbourne Polytechnic reserves the right to deny or rescind parking provisions if circumstances require.
  12. Note: State of Victoria – Acts and Regulation covered by this site include: Road Safety Act 1986, Road Safety (General) regulations 2009, Road Safety Rules 2009, Infringement Act 2006, and Infringements (Report and Prescribed Details and Forms) Regulations 2006.

Appealing parking infringement notices

Melbourne Polytechnic parking infringement notices are issued on behalf of Melbourne Polytechnic by Bartels Taylor & Associates Pty Ltd.


If you receive a fine and wish to appeal you need to appeal in WRITING to:

Once your appeal is received, it will be considered and determined by Melbourne Polytechnic. The parking infringement notice is placed on hold, pending the outcome of your appeal.

All infringements issued by Melbourne Polytechnic are administered by Bartels Taylor and Associates Pty Ltd which is the only point of contact to discuss your PIN.

When the review process has been finalised you will be advised of the outcome in writing.

Withdrawal of parking infringement notices

A parking infringement notice will only be considered for withdrawal if it was issued incorrectly or if there were extenuating circumstances.
