A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required for all students studying in Australia. You will need a USI to enrol and receive your qualification or statement of attainment.

You must use a Melbourne Polytechnic desktop computer to print. Desktop computers and printers are available in computer labs at all campus libraries.

A vacation letter confirms an approved scheduled course break and may be required for employment, visa or other administrative purposes.

All international students studying in Australia on a student visa are required to maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their stay. OSHC helps cover the cost of medical treatment and hospital care while you are in Australia.

Most major Australian banks offer accounts designed for international students. We recommend opening an Australian bank account after arriving in Melbourne to help manage your finances and everyday expenses. You will generally need your passport, visa and proof of address to open an account.
