- Student diversity
- Excellent student services
- Small-size classes and teacher gives adequate help and attention to each student, thus resulting in a better study experience
- SLAM Events around campus
What is your favourite class and why?
Networking, because it is very hands-on and pretty challenging. But at the end of every challenging exercise, you learn quite a lot.
What tips do you have for new students about choosing where to study, what to consider when choosing which provider to study at, or considering coming to Melbourne Polytechnic?
I would suggest them to do a thorough research when choosing a study location and an education provider. After that, make a short-list of where you want to study and what you want to study. If you are considering to come and study at Melbourne Polytechnic, then check if they have a course that you want to study, and correspond to the respective department if you have any confusions or enquiries to make regarding the course that you want to do.
What are your future plans or goals? Will you go onto further study, how do you plan on using your Melbourne Polytechnic diploma?)
I would like to get some work experience through anything that comes up on my way in achieving my qualification whether it be projects, internships, part-time jobs or volunteering, and further my study at the same time. After finishing my study, I am planning to work in the ICT industry.
Why did you choose Melbourne Polytechnic?
- The institution was awarded for Excellence in International Education in 2014.
- Good international student support and services
- Affordable fees as compared to other universities
- Good student reviews
- Small-size classes
Anything else you would like to mention about your experience at Melbourne Polytechnic or Australia that potential students may be interested in?
I am studying Diploma of Information Technology at Melbourne Polytechnic, and it has been a wonderful experience so far. The teachers have been really supportive and they are always there to help you, even at lunch time, if they are around the building. I have made quite a lot of friends, and it has always been a chill hanging around with them.
The campus atmosphere is diverse, and I have always found it interesting to get to know people from different cultural backgrounds around the campus. In addition to this, an international Association has been established recently with the aim of providing more support to international students, which is a positive thing to look towards as an international student. And well, yeah, all in all, so far, so good!
