You'll gain the factual, technical and procedural knowledge relating to a range of engineering streams. Learn the skills to produce technical drawings, use hand and power tools and perform basic machining processes.

Successfully completing this qualification will enable you to go on to entry level roles in the engineering, manufacturing or related industries.
You may consider an apprenticeship like the Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering MEM30219, Certificate III in Locksmithing MEM30819 and Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade MEM31922.
Upon completing this course, you may go on to further study in a related apprenticeship or an engineering diploma, depending on the pre-requisites.
This course provides 4 Unit credits to VCE Unit 1 to 4 sequence and ATAR contribution.

This course is government accredited and has national recognition.
Schools can submit VET applications using our secure online school portal. Students may be required to attend an information session and/or interview. Schools will receive an email to confirm applications have been accepted and then, students and schools will be emailed enrolment procedures. Once enrolled, VET school coordinators can use the portal to monitor their students’ attendance and progress.
