Professional Internship Program

Kick-start your career with a 12-week internship at a reputable company or non-profit organisation. This opportunity is available to final-year international students in select courses, offered twice a year.

Who can apply?

International students in the final year of the following Melbourne Polytechnic programs are eligible to apply:

What you'll gain:

  • Skills in workplace communication and teamwork
  • Knowledge of business etiquette and organisational practices
  • An internship certificate & Statement of Attainment (BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment), which will be issued upon successful completion of assessments during the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement.

How it works:

  1. Submit an Expression of Interest form to the Melbourne Polytechnic International Office via email
  2. ReadyGrad will contact you directly for your resume and any additional documents needed
  3. Meet with the ReadyGrad placement consultant
  4. Get matched with a host company
  5. Participate in an Interview → Receive an offer → Start your placement
  6. Ongoing support will be provided throughout the process

Commitment: 3 days/week for 12 weeks
