Lou is currently completing a Masters in Management with Charles Sturt University and has worked as an academic since 1993.
Lou’s equine passion was borne out of her affinity for animals and her parents’ concession to equine competition. She started working with horses after leaving school and pursued equine qualifications at: Diploma; Advanced Diploma and Degree level. She has made her passion for horses into a career.
Running a commercial fine wool merino flock saw her pursue studies in Agriculture and gain skills in both field research and animal husbandry.
Prior to being employed as Head of Program of the Higher Education Equine programs at NMIT, Lou started her academic career at the Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture (VCAH). While lecturing at The University of Melbourne, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Education before teaching at South West Institute of TAFE.
