Adam is a composer and musician across guitar, bass, voice, percussion. He lectures at Melbourne Polytechnic in composition, arranging and performance. Adam composes for both film and the concert hall, writing for ensembles of different sizes. His PhD in Composition explored issues of indeterminacy, metric modulation and 'interference'.
Adam has been lecturing on music since 2011. He encourages his students to practice creativity, to think about their unique musical vision and find the best ways to articulate it. His approach to education and creation is informed by combining the best of his experiences as a postgraduate student, with over 20 years of working as a composer and performer in the music industry. Adam feels privileged to support of the musical and educational journeys of his students.
Adam has a PhD (Composition, University of Melbourne, a Master of Music (Composition for the Screen) from the Royal College of Music in the UK and a Master of Music (Composition) from the University of Melbourne. He has performed at festivals in Europe, Asia and America with different ensembles. Adam’s most recent film score was for Outback Rabbis, a popular documentary series that has screened on SBS from 2018.
