Marc Blanks was the Executive Director of the Banyule Nillumbik and Whittlesea Tech Schools (enabled innovation hubs for young people in secondary school), the Executive Director of Curriculum Innovation and Teaching Excellence before being appointed as the Executive Director of Academic Operations. He has worked across the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of education and also in a broad variety of roles in industry.
He has had a variety of roles in DET Victoria in the North-Western Region and Central Office. Marc has worked as a classroom teacher, coach, lecturer and principal, assistant principal and as a director of a kindergarten cluster. He has a particular interest in contemporary pedagogies and their relationship to deep learning, learning environments, and digital technologies.
