Caz is a contemporary jeweller whose practise engages with public space. She completed a Bachelor of Art in Jewellery and Metalsmithing at Monash University in 1995.
She has mounted three solo exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions throughout Australia and in Japan, Korea, Germany, Chile, New Zealand and USA.
In addition to showing in gallery contexts, Caz investigates alternative sites for placing/exhibiting jewellery in and around the CBD and most recently in her local suburb.
Her jewellery and objects are often made in direct response to particular locations, and after having gathered evidence and taken site specific moulds. Caz has been awarded two New Work Grants from the Visual Art & Craft Board of the Australia Council and an Arts Development Grant – Creation from Arts Victoria.
In her teaching Caz draws on her extensive understanding of design process, 3D model making and her considerable experience of manipulating a variety of precious and mundane materials.
