Peter Romano is a hospitality teacher at Melbourne Polytechnic with over 20 years experience in the industry. He has extensive experience across the industry, having worked in hotels, restaurants and bars, in a many different roles. Peter spent over fifteen years of his career in leadership and management roles. He draws on his extensive experience to share insight with students, and prepare them for what to expect in industry on a day-to-day basis.
Peter loves to share his unique insight and watch his students achieve their goals. His experience makes him invaluable to students as a mentor or industry coach. Peter knows that hospitality is a practical industry and he prefers to give his students as much hands-on experience as possible. His teaching practice emphasises getting students out of the classroom and into the real world to learn. He also knows the benefit of networking, and shares his industry connections with students when possible.
Peer has a Diploma of Hospitality from Melbourne Polytechnic, and is currently strengthening his teaching skills with an Associate Degree in Vocational Education.
