Michael is an audio engineer and teacher at Melbourne Polytechnic. He is a highly experienced and motivated audio expert, passionate about every aspect of audio composing, recording, mixing and mastering.
With over 30 years in the industry, Michael brings his experience of changing and adapting to new technology to his students. Michael has extensive Pro Tools experience having grown up with the system since its early days as Sound Tools in the late 80s and began using Pro Tools on Version 1 in 1991. Michael is among the top tier of Pro Tools engineers in Australia. Some of his music project collaborators include INXS and Kasey Chambers. He has also been involved in music production and audio for films such as Shine and Strictly Ballroom.
Michael has been teaching at Melbourne Polytechnic since 2012, and loves showing his students how to get the best out of technology. He is genuinely excited by the advances in audio engineering technology and shares this enthusiasm with his students.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Music Technology from LaTrobe University and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Melbourne Polytechnic.
