Dr Kabossa Msimangira is a senior lecturer in the Bachelor of Business. He lectures on e-business and supply chain management, and entrepreneurship. He has been active in training and research in the areas of supply chain management, supply chain integration, management, procurement, logistics management, and operations management. Dr Kabossa teaches his students skills in solving complex problems of organisations in the areas of management, logistics, procurement, and supply chain management. He shares professional and industry experiences to ground theory in real life.
A management and business senior lecturer at Melbourne Polytechnic since 2012, Dr Kabossa teaches his students practical skills using real life case studies of local and international companies. He is passionate about training the next generation of leaders with a global view in management, procurement, and supply chain management.
Dr Kabossa earned his PhD in Management (Supply Chain Management) from Auckland University of Technology. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (Operations and Materials Management) from the University of Arizona on a Fulbright Scholarship and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) (Production and Marketing Management) from the University of Dar es Salaam. Prior to joining Melbourne Polytechnic, Dr Kabossa was a senior lecturer at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, technical advisor in purchasing and supply for the United Nations and lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam. He has published articles in peer review journals, including Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management: An International Journal and the International Journal of Public Sector Management. Dr Msimangira has also presented research papers at local and international conferences: Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) and the Asian Business and Management (ABM).
