Department: Bridging and Preparatory Studies
Melbourne Polytechnic requires 2 sessional (casual) teaching staff to deliver specific units of the Certificate I in Intro General Education for Adults (Introductory) with an Art or Horticulture focus as part of the DFATS program.
DFATS (Disability Forensic Assessment Treatment Service) in a secure site located next to our Fairfield Campus.
Our CGEA elective program is delivered Friday’s from 9.30am – 2.30pm.
Qualifications, Licenses and Experience
- Cert II (or higher) in either Horticulture or Visual Arts
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110) including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) or (TAELLN401A)
- A Working with Children Check
- Capacity to plan and meet agreed deadlines in the completion of teaching tasks
Payment is at the rate of:
$65.01 per hour for Casual Teaching – Certificate IV qualified
$67.57 per hour Casual Teaching – Diploma of VET Practice or equivalent teacher training.
