Melbourne Polytechnic has been selected as a finalist in two categories for the Victorian Training Awards.
2024 marks the 70th year the Victorian Training Awards have honoured the best of the best in the state’s vocational education and training sector.
In this year’s awards Melbourne Polytechnic been shortlisted for two award categories:
Recognising large training organisations that demonstrate excellence and high-level performance in all aspects of vocational education and training.
Recognising exceptional training providers within the Victorian government’s vocational education and training sector that have demonstrated outstanding improvements regarding the achievement, engagement and wellbeing of students with disability.
A Melbourne Polytechnic graduate from the Certificate III in Business (Traineeship delivered by our partner's NECA), Monty Knoll, has also been named as a finalist in these prestigious awards for the category of Trainee of the Year. This category recognises a Victorian trainee who has been outstanding in all aspects of their training.
Melbourne Polytechnic is consistently acknowledged in the Victorian Training Awards. In 2023 we were awarded Inclusive Training Provider of the Year and Melbourne Polytechnic graduate Rebecca Hope was recognised as Trainee of the Year.
We're honoured to be shortlisted in these awards, made possible by the individual efforts of many passionate teachers and support staff. We're proud to be recognised as a shining example of inclusivity, high-level performance and transformative education.
The Victorian Training Award winners will be announced at a gala event on Friday 30 August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
