The EAL Department delivers English language courses, through the Certificates in EAL (English as an Additional Language). Funding for students is available through the Adult Migrant and English Program (AMEP) and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program, as well as Victorian Government subsidies.
Our EAL department will provide you with an individually-tailored program to work towards employment or further study.
Melbourne Polytechnic is an approved SEE and AMEP provider. All EAL courses are Austudy/Abstudy and Centrelink/Department of Human Services approved for job seekers. You can start courses at any time and there are flexible entry and exit points.
The Foundation Studies Department is located in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs and taught at our Community location in the Broadmeadows area, Preston, Prahran, and Epping campuses.
