Marc Blanks, Executive Director of Educational Excellence

Executive Director, Educational Excellence

Marc Blanks is the Executive Director of Educational Excellence and previously held the roles at Melbourne Polytechnic as the Executive Director of the MP Tech Schools (enabled innovation hubs for young people in secondary school), the Executive Director of Curriculum Innovation and Teaching Excellence. He led the development of the MP Education Strategy and subsequent enabling plans and projects.

Marc has worked across the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of education and also in a broad variety of roles in industry.

He has had a variety of roles in DET Victoria in the North-Western Region and Central Office. Marc has worked as a classroom teacher, coach, lecturer and principal, assistant principal and as a director of a kindergarten cluster. He has a particular interest in contemporary pedagogies and their relationship to deep learning, learning environments, and digital technologies.
