Alex is a lecturer and coordinator in the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing (BVN) program at Melbourne Polytechnic.
Alex successfully completed the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing (BVN) degree in 2019, when it was first introduced. Since then, her professional journey has extended to teaching, as she has been a faculty member at Melbourne Polytechnic since 2022 and has obtained a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, Curriculum, and Learning.
From a BVN student, Alex has evolved into a lecturer and coordinator, showcasing a remarkable career progression. Her journey from student to lecturer reflects her dedication to the BVN, making her a valuable mentor for those pursuing a career in veterinary nursing. As a vet nurse, she has accumulated three years of diverse experience in emergency, ICU, and surgical nursing. Her repertoire includes working with retired racehorses at Living Legends over the past nine years. Alex continues her association with Living Legends, where she coordinates the BVN’s equine and large animal electives.
Important Note: The Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing will not be taking new enrolments for 2023. All new intakes for 2022 will be into the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing (a Latrobe University qualification delivered by Melbourne Polytechnic).
