Get real world experience on a range of events

Events management is a diverse industry, whether you’re creating events and experiences for 50 people or 50,000 people - the skills you’ll need are the same. Melbourne Polytechnic’s Diploma of Event Management will prepare you to manage events locally or international, teaching you about budgeting, people management, ticketing, staging and audio and lighting production. You’ll get real world experience when you assist in organising events at Melbourne Polytechnic. Through our industry connections, you’ll also have the opportunity for volunteer, or even paid, work at festivals, conferences and major cultural and sporting events. Our industry-qualified staff will guide you through the course, sharing industry insider knowledge and tips and tricks learned from years of experience.

Events and exhibitions are a diverse industry, and Melbourne Polytechnic’s Diploma of Events Management provides a pathway to work for event or exhibition organisations across a range of industries, including tourism, travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors. Graduates may find employment as a conference assistant, and event administrative assistant or an event operations assistant. Recognition of Prior Learning

You can seek Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where your work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL is individually assessed based on evidence submitted by the student to the teaching department. Applications for RPL will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic trainers, academics and where appropriate, industry experts.

Melbourne Polytechnic offers a range of payment options to help you pay your tuition fees, so you can get on with your studies.

Fees displayed are effective for new applications received on or after 19 November 2020. Tuition fees do not include textbooks, course materials or overseas student health insurance and visa fees.

After initial deposit, international students are able to pay tuition fees in installments, four times per year.

Additional expenses

Amenities fees are used to improve non-academic services including libraries, counselling services, student support, and recreational activities.

Amenities must be paid each academic year you are enrolled.
