Recognition of Prior Learning

You can seek Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where your work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL is individually assessed based on evidence submitted by the student to the teaching department. Applications for RPL will be assessed by relevant Melbourne Polytechnic trainers, academics and where appropriate, industry experts.

Melbourne Polytechnic offers a range of payment options to help you pay your tuition fees, so you can get on with your studies.

Fees displayed are effective for new applications received on or after 1 November 2019. Tuition fees do not include textbooks, course materials or overseas student health insurance and visa fees.

After initial deposit, international students are able to pay tuition fees in installments, four times per year.

Requirements

To participate in this training program the candidate must hold an Unrestricted Electricians Licence or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory (e.g. A Grade Victorian Electricians) – This is due to Victorian Electrical Licence restrictions and this course including ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’ – Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) will not accept a direct entry model into this training program

Next Steps

Apprenticeships are coordinated via the Trade and Traineeship Support Unit (TSU) where you will provide details of your employer, who will register you with an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider.

The AASN will register your training contract on DELTA and you will be allocated a DELTA number. Melbourne Polytechnic will then be able to enrol you into your training program.
