Melbourne Polytechnic’s Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) CHC33015 is designed to provide quality training in individual support across the ageing and aged care sector with a program delivered by highly experienced staff in hands-on settings. The Melbourne Polytechnic program meets the requirements for the specialisation CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).
The program includes (2) additional optional units, CHCAGE002 Implement falls prevention strategies and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid to create a robust program that fully prepares students to work in the contemporary aged care sector.
It is strongly recommended that students undertake these additional units.Students in this cohort will be simultaneously enrolled in the optional 22469VIC Course in Introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to deepen their skills and knowledge of the NDIS and working with an NDIS participant. This course is taught through blended delivery (a combination of remote and on-campus delivery) at Greensborough campus.

The Course in Introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) 22469VIC offers hands-on experience with NDIS participants and people with a lived experience of disability.
The unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid requires students to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor. Additional units require students to demonstrate and complete manual handling tasks. Students must be able to fulfill these requirements independently.
