Equine Studies

Our Equine Studies courses will help you develop the specialist skills and knowledge required to breed horses, manage a stud farm and run equestrian events.

Equine studies combine specialised equine science with the business management skills essential for successful operation of equine-focussed businesses in the 21st century.

Our programs are delivered on Melbourne Polytechnic's established 300 hectare thoroughbred stud farm, Northern Lodge at Eden Park.

There are various pathways for you to further your studies. Many of the courses complement each other, allowing you to gain deeper knowledge and higher qualifications.

There are also opportunities for complementary education in different sectors of our Higher Education Agriculture and Animal Studies, where you complete the same core subjects and then choose specialised electives in different industries.
