  • Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy:
  • This area of study provides skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and listening and oral communication to increase independence and participation in the community and the workplace.

  • Basic addition and subtraction
  • Writing simple words
  • Communication with simple sentences
  • Communicating with pictures and symbols
  • Subjects are delivered on campus in general classrooms, computer labs and training kitchens. Students also participate in excursions to gain awareness of current industry trends and expectations so that during the 'taster' course, skills are developed according to the chosen study area.
