Melbourne Polytechnic's Scaffolding Licence - Basic Level short course provides participants with the required skills to erect, alter and dismantle all types of modular scaffolding systems to provide work platforms for construction purposes, including edge protection, access ways and falsework. On successful completion, participants can apply to WorkSafe for a Basic Scaffolding Licence.

At the end of this course participants will have developed the basic skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at industry-approved basic level. Coursework consists of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds.
On successful completion of the Scaffolding Licence – Basic Level, participants can apply to WorkSafe for a Basic Scaffolding Licence.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to read and write English fluently.
