Plumbing Examination Revision

Short Course

Overview

The Plumbing Examination Revision is only for Melbourne Polytechnic students that have fully completed the Certificate III in Plumbing.

This tutorial is to assist you in preparing for the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) Plumbing Registration Examination. You will improve your hand skills to exam standard, revise, and become familiar with the registration exam processes.

Plumbing Revision will commence two weeks prior to the VBA Plumbing Registration Examination.

The course is one night per week over two weeks, from 5.30pm - 9.30pm.

Over the two night classes the following streams will be covered:

  • Gas
  • Water
  • Commissioning
  • Drainage
  • Sanitary
  • Roofing

The delivery will comprise of theory based and practical hands on experience on the key learnings across the streams.

Transfers and Refunds

A refund or transfer is only possible if you apply at least 5 business days prior to the course commencing. A standard handling charge of 10% of the advertised course fee will be deducted from each refund. Requests for refunds or transfers made within five business days of the course start date will not be eligible.

You must have completed all Certificate III in Plumbing Units of Competency.

Materials

Participants must wear

  • Work clothing - Long work pants (No shorts)
  • Protective equipment (Work boots, safety glasses)

  • A pen
  • Notebook
  • Standard plumbing tools required to undertake exams
  • AS/NZS 3500.1:2018 Plumbing and Drainage
  • AS/NZS 5601 Set 2013 Gas Installation
  • AS HB39: 2015 Code of Common Practice for Steel Roofing
