Victorian Training Award winners exemplify quality and commitment

Congratulations to Jnaallii Penrith and Shane Lawtey, Melbourne Polytechnic's winners at the 2015 Victorian Training Awards.

Jnaallii, a student in Melbourne Polytechnic's Diploma of Business, won Victorian Koorie Student of the Year.  Shane Lawtey, Team Leader, Student Life and Media (SLAM), received the Victorian VET Client Services/ Support Excellence Award.

Minister for Training and Skills, Steve Herbert, said “I congratulate all winners, and finalists, on their achievements. They are the brightest and best from across our TAFE and training sector.”

“Each of the winners demonstrates how quality training is supporting people from across our state to develop the skills they need for the job they want.”

Congratulations also to our other nominees for being shortlisted: Tim Gilbert, for his extraordinary efforts and skills in supporting and growing our International Program, Effie Borgias for her commitment as a teacher in the English as an Additional Language program, and Jack Whitty as Victorian Trainee of the Year in Arboriculture.
