23 Mar 2013

Since its beginning in 2008 the Bachelor of Illustration degree has established an excellent weekly Creative Arts Forum program of speakers and specialist workshop presenters.

The Creative Arts Forum is back in 2012.

The program operates throughout the academic year for years one to three students and Lecturers, providing a platform for research and critical debate within the course structure. Its' strength is evidenced by the variety and quality of program participants we have engaged.

Past presenters have included Darren Bell (Mary & Max Animator), Bruce Mutard (Graphic Novelist), Lisa Rote (Drawing & Scientific Collaboration), Xavier Irvine (Concept Artist, Comic Book Illustrator), Tony Thorne (Animator, CG Effects Artist), Eva Collado (Poster Artist), Anna Walker (Children's Book Illustrator), Simon Joslin (Games Producer), Sean Healy (Video Artist, VJ) and Sonny Tilders (Animatronics - Walking with Dinosaurs).

In 2012, the program has gotten off to a great start with presentations from speakers such as Leigh Hobbs (Children's Book Writer and Illustrator), Dabs & Myla (LA-Based Illustrators) and Isobel Knowles & Cat Rabbit (Melbourne Artists and Collaborators).
