ALBE student meets Melbourne author Kerry Cue

28 Sep 2009

NMIT ALBE program students Rosina Rossi-mel, Angela Deikos and Vu Quoc all had stories published in the Spring issue of Fine Print, the Victorian Literacy Teachers Association magazine.

Teacher Stephani Jones and student Rosina Rossi-mel attended the Fine Print launch, where they met teachers and students from other literacy programs and were introduced to the guest speaker, Melbourne author Kerry Cue.

Rosina's humorous story The Jam, about her dressmaking apprenticeship at a convent in Italy, drew much appreciative laughter.

The photo shows Rosina and Kerry reminiscing about life at a convent school. They found they had a lot in common even though they grew up half a world apart.
