Media Alert - NMIT student among Victorian Training Awards Finalists

Congratulations to NMIT Certificate III in Horticulture student, Linda Day, who has been named a finalist in the 2010 Victorian Training Awards.

Linda has been shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Victorian Vocational Student of the Year. The former teacher, ESL educator and adult multicultural education manager commenced her studies at NMIT's Greensborough campus last year after deciding on a new career path that contributes to the environment.

The Victorian Training Awards program promotes and rewards outstanding achievements and innovations by students, apprentices, trainees, teachers, employers and training organisations across 14 categories to build a world class vocational education training system in Victoria.

Lynda will join other shortlisted finalists in an interview process to decide the final winner of Victorian Vocational Student of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Victorian Training Awards Presentation Dinner at on 14 September. For more information on the Awards go to .
