Courses at Melbourne Polytechnic

05 Oct 2014

A major step forward for Melbourne Polytechnic has been the finalisation of our course offerings for 2014.

Melbourne Polytechnic will offer Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees in mainstream creative industry areas including music performance, music business, design, visual arts, digital media and gaming, writing and publishing, visual merchandising, interior decoration and theatre arts.

In addition, we will offer courses in areas where the creative applications of skills and knowledge are essential to success in disciplines such as hospitality, justice, health and community studies, travel and tourism, information technology and many more.

We’re also excited about continuing a number of programs, previously offered by Swinburne at Prahran including the Diploma of Costume for Performance, Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services and Certificate IV and Diploma of Theatre Arts. We will be utilising the Prahran campus’ David Williamsons Theatre in the delivery of these programs and refurbishing the theatre’s foyer to include a coffee shop run by our Hospitality students.

Our course offerings at Melbourne Polytechnic will continue to evolve over time and we will be working with industry and community groups in Melbourne’s southern and central regions to develop courses that are responsive to the region’s needs.
