Each year, students from the Diploma of Illustration at NMIT showcase their talent by presenting their work at their end-of-year graduate exhibition known as Illustre. However, this year there is a difference. For the first time Illustre 2013 will represent the combined works of two Illustration streams offering a broader and wider range of talent on display.
Representing 43 Illustration Students, Illustre 2013 stands to be one of NMIT’s largest and most exciting exhibitions to date.
Illustre 2013 provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to come and see some of the creative work from Melbourne’s rising illustration talent.
With a wide variety of student work, Illustre 2013 offers an eclectic selection of work ranging from digital illustration and design, painting, traditional media, 3D illustration and even animation.
Illustre 2013 opens at Chapel off Chapel Gallery in Prahran on Tuesday the 29th of October from 6pm. All visitors are welcome to come and witness the journey of our talented emerging illustrators, with an award ceremony and artwork available for purchase relating to advertising, editorials, conceptual design, children’s books, comics and graphic novels.
