Celebration of Flavours NMIT Food and Wine Expo

23 Oct 2008

As the weather warms up and the festive season begins, it is once again the time to enjoy great food and wine at this year's NMIT Food and Wine Expo.

This year, the Expo will feature food and wine producers, including , Pfeiffer Wines, Chateau Leamon, Anderson Winery, Buller View Wines, NMIT Wine and Milawa Cheese Co.

The Expo is a food related event for the Northern Community to enjoy. Darebin City Council and local traders have joined with NMIT to make the most of the growing community interest in this area. As featured in previous years, each Expo visitor receives a tasting booklet that includes vouchers from local businesses offering special deals for Expo visitors to enjoy.

Each year this successful event, presented by 2 nd year Dual Diploma in Hospitality and Event Management students, grows in popularity. In partnership with Darebin City Council, the students work to showcase a wide variety of Australian wineries and fine foods to tempt visitors' tastebuds.

Tiffani Smith, NMIT 2 nd year Event Management student, said “It is great to be a part of such a successful, annual event that we have put so much work into and we can't wait to see the outcome on the night.”

The NMIT Food and Wine Expo will be held on Monday 12 November 2007 from 4pm to 8pm at the St Georges Restaurant and Courtyard. The entry price of $5.00 per person includes all tasting and complimentary booklets. A selection of gourmet meals from St Georges Bistro will also be available on the night.
