About the Role

We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and qualified individual to fill the position of Technical Officer.

Your primary objectives will be:

  • Monitor and maintain technical resources and requirements for the Performing Arts Department including equipment and software.

  • Support technical requirements for the delivery of training in the Performing Arts Department.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Key Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor department equipment and facilities to ensure resources are adequate (fully functional and safe) to support the delivery of training.

  • Experience working with computers and an ability to troubleshoot minor Macintosh computer software problems on a range of software programs. For example: Logic Audio, Sibelius, Pro-Tools, Adobe Creative Suite 3, Final Cut Studio, and Media Composer.

  • Experience working in and/or providing technical/facility support in a relevant area to the Performing Arts Department. (Elevated Work Platform license and an electrical tagging and testing license are preferred.)

Qualifications, Licenses and Experience

Approved training in a relevant technical field within creative industries or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.

Salary

The salary will be in the range of $54,432 to $57,142 (TO5.1 – TO5.3) per annum pro-rata plus employer superannuation contributions.

Tenure

Ongoing, Part- Time 30.4 hours per week.
