About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Teacher - Jewellery
Your primary objectives will be:
To plan, develop, deliver and evaluate the teaching of jewellery programs within the Visual Arts Department.
Maintain appropriate records and resources within quality assurance guidelines.
The successful applicant will have:
Key Technical Competencies
Relevant and recent industrial experience in the jewellery industry.
Demonstrated ability to teach a range of technical and theoretical jewellery and object design specific content.
Well-developed skills in teaching including the ability to select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to a diverse student population and the competency standards required.
Qualification, Licenses and Experience
A relevant Degree, Diploma or Certificate relevant in both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to jewellery and object design. The TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
A course of teacher training is preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the relevant field
Relevant and recent industrial experience in the jewellery industry including practical experience in Jewellery and object design, making and production workflows.

The salary will be $52,127 - $83,525 (T1.1 – T5) per rata, per annum plus superannuation contribution.
