Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Lecturer Academic Level B – Bachelor of Engineering Technology – Construction Management.
You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent subject knowledge and with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in the subject area.
Your primary objectives will be:
Teaching in the Bachelor/Associate Degree of Engineering Technology (Civil) Program which is offered by the Department of Sustainable Design and Construction, Faculty of Engineering and Construction.
Collaborate with academic staff to support and maintain a high quality student learning experience.
Contribute to the strategic development of applied research and scholarship in the higher education programs in the Faculty of Engineering and Construction.
The successful applicant must have:
A graduate qualifications at level 9, or above, of AQF in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent with significant professional and /or industry experience in a related field.
Evidence commitment to student learning and record of quality teaching experience in post-secondary educational setting.
Effective communication, interpersonal and rapport building skills to facilitate student learning and to engage effectively with different stakeholders.
Membership of Engineers Australia or any other professional organisation.
Professional working experience.
Experience in e-learning and flexible delivery environments in post-secondary educational setting.

Lecturer B with a salary range of $79,437-$94,328 per annum. Commencing salary will be negotiated according to qualifications and experience.
Superannuation is additional and Melbourne Polytechnic is able to contribute to UniSuper.
Note that service with publicly funded Australian Universities is recognised for long service and sick leave purposes.
