What is EAP?

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course has been specially designed to provide international students with the necessary skills and knowledge to participate confidently and successfully in TAFE and Higher Education. You will:

  • build your understanding of academic vocabulary and systems
  • learn to conduct research
  • learn about paraphrasing and summarising
  • develop your report writing and essay writing skills
  • learn to present your work in written and oral form
  • gain tips and tricks to listen to lectures and take reliable and comprehensive notes
  • participate in academic conversations and interactions
  • get comfortable in the Australian study environment

Tuesday to Friday, 9 am - 3 pm.

Requirements

  • EAP 1: Academic IELTS 5.0 overall or equivalent.
  • EAP 2: Academic IELTS 5.5 overall or equivalent.
