General information can be found on the coronavirus information page.

Here, Melbourne Polytechnic students take courses in Equine Studies and Viticulture and have the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-life setting. Melbourne Polytechnic acquired the property in 1993 and has transformed the eroded land into a site worth more than $4 million today.

Melbourne Polytechnic’s equine facilities include lush pastures, stables, a covering barn, ménage, teasing facilities, a 1400-metre training track and jump out barriers, a sand roll and modern scanning equipment.

From grape to glass with viticulture

Our 10 hectare vineyard at Eden Park was first planted by Melbourne students in 1996. The facility provides an excellent, real-world learning environment for Melbourne Polytechnic Viticulture students. The vineyard produces grape varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. We bottled our first vintage in 1998 and have produced many award-winning wines since.
