About the Role

We are very excited to announce that Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and qualified individual to fill the position Trade Apprenticeship & Traineeship Support Officer.

Your primary objective will be to:

  • Assist the Trade Apprenticeship & Traineeship Support Leader in creating new processes for, ongoing maintenance and implementation of the Trade Support Unit. High level administrative and practical management of the administration team dedicated to  supporting Trade delivery staff, employers, apprentices and trainees in timely and compliant commencement and completion of all contractual obligations both internal and external to the institute relating the apprenticeships and traineeships. Collection and collating of data associated with Trades performance and high level customer support and services.

About You:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

Key Selection Criteria

  • Relevant degree with relevant work experience or lesser qualifications and extensive experience in a leading administrative role. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability required to perform the role. Experience in working with apprentices and trainees is required. Ability to support and lead others to be demonstrated.
  • Demonstrated highly effective communication, interpersonal and team skills and a proven ability to work within an environment requiring the use of tact, discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated advanced organisational and problem solving skills, the ability to be proactive

The salary will be in the range of $55,407 - $60,160 (PACCT 4.1 – 4.3) per annum plus superannuation.
