In April 2023, I had a brain bleed caused by an arteriovenous malformation and had to stop working as a nurse and pause my studies. This scholarship helps cover transport, course fees and living costs, allowing me to focus on my recovery and work towards becoming a teacher. Thank you so much for the scholarship, it means a lot for me.

Ways to Give

Whether you give today or leave a legacy for tomorrow, your support help Melbourne polytechnic students to thrive. Donations over $2 are tax deductible, and 100% goes directly to students.

Donate to Student Support Funds

Our Student Support Funds provide practical financial assistance to help students stay engaged in their studies and achieve their goals. These funds support students facing financial hardship or other barriers, ensuring they have access to the resources, tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

Explore our Student Support Funds below:

This fund provides direct financial assistance to students who are experiencing hardship and may otherwise be unable to continue their studies. Contributions help cover tuition and student fees, easing the financial burden and enabling students to focus on achieving their educational goals.

DONATE

This initiative supports students by funding essential tools, equipment, uniforms and materials required for their course or future career. From hairdressing kits to construction tools, these practical grants ensure students are properly equipped to succeed in hands-on, industry-specific training.

DONATE

This fund provides targeted support to students from refugee and migrant backgrounds who face unique barriers to education. Contributions go toward scholarships and tailored assistance that help students transition into study, access resources, and build a pathway to meaningful employment and community contribution.

DONATE

This initiative supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by providing scholarships and services that promote educational access, success, and belonging. It aims to close the equity gap and empower First Nations students to thrive academically and beyond.

Gifts in wills

Leaving a gift in your will to Melbourne Polytechnic is a meaningful way to support future students and create lasting opportunities. Your gift can help fund scholarships and awards that change lives for generations to come.

You may choose to leave:

  • A set amount of money
  • A percentage of your estate
  • Property, shares, or other assets

In certain situations, you may also be able to create a named bequest, in consultation with Melbourne Polytechnic, establishing a lasting legacy in your name or in honour of someone special. Named bequests often fund scholarships or awards that recognise and support students in your chosen field or area of passion.

Every gift, big or small, contributes directly to helping students achieve their goals.

LEAVE A GIFT

This scholarship helps the development of my glass art enormously. Glass is a beautiful but expensive material to work with, and this assistance allows me to purchase tools and materials that I could not otherwise. I am very grateful to Allianz and Melbourne Polytechnic for supporting my art and my studies.
