Work Education Department

*Ahmed has a learning disability and had no idea what he wanted to do. His large family arrived in Australia several years ago to give their kids a better life and they strongly support their educational aspirations, although on very limited income.

Ahmed completed a Certificate 1 in Transition Education, developing self-confidence, independence, communication, social and decision-making skills and opportunities to try volunteer roles in the community. He was offered a traineeship in a manufacturing plant at the end of his course and is now a valued team member at work, and proudly contributes to the family’s income.
