Education

Step out of our classroom and into your own.

Melbourne Polytechnic’s Education study area incorporates our Education (Early Years), Education Support and Training and Assessment programs.

These courses develop industry-ready graduates ready to contribute to the education sector in schools and other organisations.

When you study education, you learn how to change lives. Our Education (Early Years) courses will teach you to develop a critical understanding of children’s formative years and the equitable delivery of early years education. Combined with extensive placement programs, you will gain contemporary skills to provide excellent support to children’s growth and learning. Melbourne Polytechnic’s Education Support courses will provide you with the comprehensive training you’ll need to work with students with special needs. It is specifically designed for people who would like to work in schools assisting teachers by providing extra literacy and numeracy support to students in the classroom.  If you’re not from an education background, but want to share your expertise with students, our Training and Assessment programs will teach you how to deliver Vocational and Educational training to post-secondary students of all ages.

Depending upon your pathway, Melbourne Polytechnic Education students might find work as education assistants, teachers’ aides, education support workers, education officers, kindergarten and primary school teachers, trainers and Assessors within TAFEs and RTOs, or even VET course developers.
