PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic is a computer-based test of English language ability specifically designed for student visa and migration applicants. You can register for a PTE account and book online or call Pearson on 1800 729 282.

PTE Academic is approved by the Australian government for visa applications, and is accepted by all Australian universities. You can find a list of institutions that accept PTE scores here.

Australian test fee $445*

Bookings within 48 hours of the test date via candidate helpline, could attract a late booking fee.

Important information:

You must bring a current government-issued passport, including your full name, a photo, date of birth and a signature. The name on your passport must match the name on your PTE registration. Please arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled time of your test. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not be able to sit the test.
