If you’re a qualified electrician looking to upskill into leadership roles, Melbourne Polytechnic’s Diploma of Electrical Project Management is for you. Professionals in the electrical industry are in high demand, with an estimated 26,000 job openings over the next five years. This diploma will combine your current technical background with the world of project management, giving you the opportunity to stand out from the crowd.
Melbourne Polytechnic has been teaching electrical trades for over 100 years. We work with industry partners, including E-Oz Energy Skills Australia and Powercor, to develop industry-led courses. Training will put you in real-world situations and teach you real-world skills. The Diploma of Electrical Project Management will teach you about high priority issues for new managers, including leadership and employee relations, project procurement, tender submissions, estimation and documentation. These skills can help you work at management level on large industrial, commercial and domestic projects.
This course will prepare you for employment in a leadership role in the electrical industry. It’s an essential qualification if you dream of running your own successful electrical business, or you might work in electrical project management, electrical estimating, middle management, line management or other supervisory positions, such as business owner, site supervisor or engineering assistant.

Melbourne Polytechnic offers a range of payment options to help you pay your tuition fees, so you can get on with your studies.
Fees displayed are effective for new applications received on or after 1 November 2019. Tuition fees do not include textbooks, course materials or overseas student health insurance and visa fees.
After initial deposit, international students are able to pay tuition fees in installments, four times per year.

The first step to enrolling is completing the application short form. You'll then receive a link to complete a few more personal details.
It is a mandatory government requirement for all prospective students to complete an online literacy and numeracy assessment. Once you are ready to enrol, you will be invited to attend of our Skills and Job Centres, or come to campus to complete your enrolment in person.
