The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is a hands-on study option for students as a senior secondary school certificate.
Melbourne Polytechnic offers VCAL programs for students wishing to obtain an accredited secondary school qualification and as an alternative to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). We deliver these courses through our youth unit and they cover a range of industry areas.
Study areas include animal studies, carpentry, creative industries, hospitality, music, EAL (English as an Additional Language), and the VCAL Ticket to a Trade. We guide you through to study pathways such as pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, or entry in further vocational education and training (VET) courses.
