The Melbourne Polytechnic Commercial Cookery division's philosophy is to train in partnership with industry. This enables our team to offer the most extensive range of cookery training options in Australia.

Melbourne Polytechnic teaching staff are experienced and current practitioners, with training expertise recognised by the high calibre of our industry partners.

Students participate in cooking for the Spring Racing Carnival and the Grand Prix. Our kitchen facilities are second-to-none and have been featured on Masterchef and The Great Australian Bake-Off. You can perfect your skills at our award-winning restaurants, St Georges in Preston and The Apprentice in Prahran.
